112 was one of the cornerstones of Bad Boy by selling over seven million records for Mr. Combs before venturing over to Def Jam where they sold an additional 1.5 Million records. Even though the Atlanta foursome has functioned productively as a unit, the time comes when members of any group want to try and stretch their legs as a soloist. All four crooners have their eyes set solely on their own projects with Quinnes “Q” Parker, Michael Smith, and Daron Jones testing the waters, but don’t count out the recognizable falsetto tone of Marvin “Slim” Scandrick.
Some attest to him being the most famous member of the group, because his unmistakable voice can be heard scattered across every ballad or club song ever recorded by them—and now the 8-time ASCAP Award winner is using his songwriting ability to pen the script for his debut album, Love’s Crazy. Learning under the tutelage of his former boss, he’s now CEO of his very own company in M3 Productions (a joint venture with Asylum Records). Staying close to his R&B roots, which also includes a dab of Hip-Hop, the project includes artists like Slim Thug, 8Ball & MJG, along with Young Joc (who is featured on his single ‘So Fly’). With everything being on his shoulders this time around, it’s easy to see that the former Bad Boy has matured into a wise businessman as he moves into the next phase of an already successful career.

Raphael Saadiq is back with a New Album ” Cop that”
With all things considered, Raphael Saadiq is the thread that has weaved the fabric of contemporary soul music together.
His midas touch has turned the careers of countless “soul sisters”—Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Mary J. Blige—and “soul brothers”—John Legend, Musiq Soulchild and D’Angelo—into gold. And while his artistic resume is largely unknown by the masses, such high-profile collaborations expose a mere fraction of Saadiq’s musical contributions.
After a successful decade as a member of Tony! Toni! Toné! and R&B’s pioneering supergroup, Lucy Pearl, Saadiq launched a solo career in 2002 with the release of Instant Vintage. His refreshing “gospedelic” mix of soul eventually earned him five GRAMMY nominations—a first for an artist who lacked a major record label deal. In 2004, Saadiq released his highly-anticipated follow-up, Ray Ray.
The Way I See It (2008) continues Saadiq’s life-long tribute to “old-school” music. Upon review of the album, Raphael Saadiq managed to find time in his busy schedule to settle down for an interview with Clayton Perry, where together they reflected on “neo-soul,” Kanye West and the current state of R&B.

A year after Kanye_West’s mother, Donda, 58, died while recovering from plastic surgery, PEOPLE has learned that California authorities have launched a probe into the possible role of Donda West’s nephew, Stephan Scoggins, 46.
A registered nurse, Scoggins was supervising West’s post-surgery care with West’s assistant and a friend when, according to a source familiar with the situation, he left the house to attend a baby shower the day after West underwent breast reduction and liposuction last Nov. 10. West died that evening at a Los Angeles hospital.
At the time, the death of the rapper’s mother was described by a family spokesman as “the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure,” a statement that placed intense scrutiny on West’s surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams.
But last January, a Los Angeles coroner ruled that West died of “multiple post-operative factors,” effectively clearing Dr. Adams of responsibility.
In this new development, an investigator with the California Department of Consumer Affairs has issued subpoenas asking individuals “to testify in the matter of the investigation of Stephan Scoggins,” a source tells PEOPLE.
